Jeffrey S. Grove, D.O., F.A.C.O.F.P, dist.

Geriatric Medicine

A love of science and medicine runs in the family of Dr. Grove – his father, grandfather and uncle all practiced osteopathic family medicine. After completing his internship and family medicine residency at Sun Coast Hospital in 1993, Dr. Grove joined Suncoast Family Medical Associates.

 

He is board certified in family medicine with added certification in geriatrics. He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he is a Past-President of the NSU-COM Alumni Association. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the NSU Health Professions Division. He was selected to receive the 2004 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. He further was awarded the 2004 Alumni of the Year Award for the entire Nova Southeastern University.

 

Locally, he completed two terms as President of the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society. Dr. Grove was awarded “Physician of the Year” for Pinellas County in 2002 – 2003 and the “Distinguished Service Award” in 2007.

 

Dr. Grove was President of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association from 2011- 2012. Additionally he serves the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association as a member of the American Osteopathic Association House of Delegates for the State of Florida. In 2018 Dr. Grove was awarded the Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Grove has served on the National American Osteopathic Foundation Board of Trustees since January 2017 and Dr. Grove currently serves as President-elect. In 2018 he served as National Secretary. 

 

Dr. Grove serves on the American Osteopathic Association Council on Continuing Medical Education where he served as Chairman from 2009 - 2016. In 2019 he was again appointed Chairman a position he still holds. He also serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors for the Osteopathic Profession’s National Osteopathic Political Action Committee. In the past, Dr. Grove has served on the AOA Bureau of State Government Affairs and on the AOA Building Committee.  

 

Active in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Dr. Grove was the youngest member up to that time to ever be elected to the National ACOFP Board of Governors being elected in March 2004. He was inaugurated as the 60th President in March 2013. In 2016 he was awarded the Marcelino Oliva, Excellence in Advocacy Award.Dr. Grove received his “Fellow Award” from the ACOFP in 2002 and he received his “Distinguished Fellow Award” in 2013. In 2020, Dr. Grove was honored  with the title of "Physician of the Year". 

 

He is a Past-President of the Florida Society ACOFP. In 2003 he was awarded “Physician of the Year” for the State of Florida. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for the State of Florida in 2009. 

 

In 2012 Dr. Grove joined Witzend Productions, LLC a theater production company as a managing Partner. In 2019 Dr. Grove became an associate member of The Broadway League.

Dr. Grove has served on the Board of Trustees for St. Paul’s School. He is a member of the Anona First United Methodist Church. He has two children, Garrett and Victoria.
